Flaky, all-butter golden pastry filled with a delicately spiced sweet filling, baked until crisp and aromatic.
Knead the flour, warm water, and salt into a soft dough for 10 minutes and rest it for 1 hour.
Divide into 4 balls, coat them in melted ghee, and rest for another 30 minutes.
On an oiled counter, stretch each ball until paper-thin and translucent.
Sprinkle each sheet with the cheese, stack them, and tuck the edges into a rough square.
Brush with the beaten egg and bake at 220C for 20 minutes until golden and puffed.
Cut into squares and serve warm.
