Flaky, all-butter golden pastry filled with a delicately spiced sweet filling, baked until crisp and aromatic.
Knead the flour, yeast, sugar, salt, warm water, and 1 tbsp olive oil into a soft dough; prove for 1 hour.
Divide into 6 balls and flatten each into a 20cm round.
Cover the rounds and let them relax for 20 minutes until slightly puffed.
Bake on a preheated tray at 230C for 8-10 minutes until puffed and golden, turning once.
Brush with the remaining olive oil and sprinkle with sesame seeds; serve warm for scooping up bamieh stew.
