Chef's Menu Description

An authentic Indian specialty cooked with freshly ground roasted spices, caramelised onions, and aromatic herbs in the traditional style.

Ingredients

  • • 3 large potatoes
  • • 4 bacon medallions (diced)
  • • 80 g low fat cheese
  • • 2 peppers, red and green (diced)
  • • 1 onion (diced)
  • • 3 spring onions
  • • 2 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • • 1 pinch sea salt
  • • low calorie cooking spray

Preparation Steps

1
Phase 1

Cut the potatoes into chips. You don't have to peel them but make sure you wash them. Toss them in a decent amount of low calorie cooking spray, 1 tsp of the Cajun spice mix, and then season them well.

2
Phase 2

Cook for 30 minutes in the Actifry, then set them aside.

3
Phase 3

Add the onions, peppers, bacon, remaining Cajun seasoning and Worcestershire sauce to the air fryer. Spray with some low calorie cooking spray and cook for 10 minutes.

4
Phase 4

Return the chips and cook for 1 minute, then remove the paddle and sprinkle the cheese over the top of the chips.

5
Phase 5

Cook for 1 minute and serve.

6
Phase 6

Pre heat the oven to 200°C. Then cut the potatoes into chips. There's no need to peel them.

7
Phase 7

Place them in a pan of boiling salted water and simmer until they start to soften but are still quite firm.

8
Phase 8

Drain the potatoes and spray a baking tray with low calorie cooking spray. Coat the potatoes in low calorie cooking spray and sprinkle them with a little salt and half of the Cajun seasoning.

9
Phase 9

Place in the oven for 20-30 minutes until they are soft and starting to colour.

10
Phase 10

Meanwhile, spray a frying pan with a generous amount of low calorie cooking spray, then add the chopped peppers, bacon, onions, Worcestershire sauce and remaining Cajun seasoning.

11
Phase 11

Cook for a few minutes until they start to soften. When the chips are cooked and browned, add them to the frying pan and stir well.

12
Phase 12

Place the contents into an oven proof dish and cook in the oven for 5-10 minutes, or until the cheese has melted. Then serve.
