Ingredients

  • • 300 g dried pasta
  • • 4 reduced fat sausages
  • • 1 tsp dried chilli flakes
  • • 2 garlic cloves (peeled and crushed)
  • • 500 g passata
  • • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • • 1 tbsp fresh basil (finely chopped)
  • • 100 g green beans
  • • salt and pepper (to taste)
  • • low calorie cooking spray

Preparation Steps

1
Phase 1

Spray a frying pan with low-calorie cooking spray and set on a medium heat. Cook the sausages for around 15 minutes, until cooked through and browned. Meanwhile, cook the pasta according to the instructions on the packet.

2
Phase 2

Cut the cooked sausages into 2cm pieces. Spray a saucepan with low-calorie cooking spray and set on a medium heat. Add the sliced sausage, chilli flakes and garlic and cook for 1 minute. Pour in the passata, oregano and half of the fresh basil. Cut the green beans into 2cm pieces and add to the pasta 2 minutes before the end of cooking.

Phase 3

Drain the pasta and beans and add to the saucepan with the tomato and sausages. Season to taste with salt and pepper and mix well.

Phase 4

Serve immediately, topped with the rest of the fresh basil and a little Parmesan if you fancy!
