Traditional Hungarian rustic flatbread from Tök: thick baked bread base topped with rich sour cream, smoked bacon lardons, diced red onions, and melted cheese.
Knead flour, yeast, sugar, salt, and warm water into a smooth bread dough. Cover and prove in a warm place for 30 minutes until risen.
Roll the dough out onto an oiled baking tray to 1cm thickness, pressing dimples across the surface with your fingertips.
Mix garlic into the sour cream and spread evenly across the dough. Scatter with diced bacon lardons, diced red onions, and grated cheese.
Bake in a hot oven preheated to 220°C for 18 to 20 minutes until crust is browned and toppings bubble. Slice into generous squares and serve hot.
