Chef's Menu Description

An enticing artisan creation, freshly prepared with vibrant seasoning and served with complementary accompaniments.

Ingredients

  • • 2 slices of Danish Lighter white bread
  • • 40 g frozen mixed berries, (defrosted)
  • • 2 tbsp low-fat cream cheese
  • • 1 tsp reduced-fat spread
  • • 1 tsp white granulated sweetener
  • • 1/2 tsp icing sugar
  • • 1/2 tsp maple syrup
  • • low-calorie cooking spray

Preparation Steps

1
Phase 1

Add the cream cheese and sweetener to a small bowl and mix until combined.

2
Phase 2

Spread one side of each slice of bread with the reduced-fat spread. Flip the bread over and spread the cream cheese onto both slices.

3
Phase 3

Arrange the fruit on one slice of bread and place the other piece of bread on top, with the cream cheese side facing inwards.

4
Phase 4

Spray a frying pan with low-calorie cooking spray and set on a low heat. When the pan is hot, add the toastie and cook for 1-2 minutes. Flip and cook for a further 1-2 minutes. The bread should be golden brown and crispy.

5
Phase 5

Remove the toastie from the pan and cut in half. Dust with icing sugar and drizzle over the maple syrup. Serve.
